Prioritize your life

 

As we approach the days ahead, the cold brings changes in the season and to our life.  The outdoor sports begin to calm as we focus on school, home and church. Or is it … God, Church, Home and Work?  What are our priorities?

 

How we prioritize our life makes all the difference in this world and the next.  We may, unknowingly instill in our children, lessons we do not wish for them to have.  We put recreation, rest or even sports before God and Church.  “R-n-R” is a healthy activity and has an important part in our lives, but has its place.  Do we teach our children “ I go to church as long as anything else doesn’t get in the way”?

 

“Oh sure Father Ted, God is the most important part of my life, but I am very busy.  We have a lot of things getting in the way. We want to come to Church, but we are just too busy…” People speak to me this way all the time and fail to realize the incredible harm they are doing to themselves and those they impact. Their kids!

 

If someone famous wanted to have lunch with you would you easily skip work to see them?  If they called on the phone and said that they would be there on Tuesday would you do everything in your power to clear your schedule on that day?

 

God is asking you to come to Him. He doesn’t force us, just asks us. He asks us each week to go His house so we can talk, have a perfect meal and share some thanks with Him who cares for us.  He is not just someone famous, but the creator of all!  God is the one who can give life and most important: HE WILL SAVE US FROM DEATH.  Are you too busy for HIM?

 

What if this Sunday was your last Sunday? Death has an interesting way of realizing your priorities.  Realize it now!  Christ is the one, who gives us everything, shouldn’t we spend at least one morning a week to show Him how thankful we are for these gifts!

 

We all have to change our priorities! To put God first in our lives!

We all have to stop letting things getting the way!

Find a way to come and receive the greatest gift you will ever receive. Everlasting life!
