To love people is to Love God

 

We come into this world with the assistance of people.  But as we grow into an adult, we find it difficult in reaching out to people.  We want them to come to our level and fit into our mold what we expect of them. Yet we fail to come to theirs.  It is a great tragedy when one person tries so hard to love or help one person and the other cannot begin to relate to them or respect them.  The help and love that we may offer becomes rejected and is seen negatively rather than the good that is offered.

 

We can not expect people to be like us, to think like us, or to act like us.  The sadness of life comes when we do not look for the good in the other people but only assume the bad.  Life is so precious and so are the relationships we have in it.  The people around us are angels, all with different ideas and all with good intentions. We have to look for the image of Christ in each other.

 

We are the body of Christ and we cannot function without the other parts. If we focus on the bad things in one another’s life, it will only separate us from each other.  Assuming bad of another only destroys the precious relationship we have.

 

Focusing on the good in other people is to focus on their true person; who they truly are and not the facade of the sin we see before us.  We must focus on the good in a person and there you will find God.

 

To love people is to Love God.
