New Beginnings

 

This is the time of year of new beginnings.  But we use the time-honored tradition of resolutions that have good intentions but fade away quickly month by month.  Resolutions come and go and soon they are a distant memory.  Why, you may ask, is it so hard to follow through with accomplishing our resolutions?  Because our priorities should be in order before we are able to accomplish anything.  Resolutions that deal with our spiritual life quickly show us what is lacking and where our priorities should lie.

 

Let us begin the New Year with these priorities:

 

This year I will pray more,

Prayer is communication with God Himself!

 

This year I will take time to reflect on God,

Reflecting on God I learn more deeply of my faith!

 

This year I will come to Church on time,

Being on time turns church time from obligation to fulfillment!

 

This year I will go to confession,

Confession is cleansing and refocusing us of who we are!

 

With fulfilling these resolutions we can accomplish the impossible!

 

A new Moment,

A new Minute,

A new Hour,

A new Day,

A new Month,

A new Year,

A NEW CHANCE,

A NEW OPPORTUNITY,

A NEW TIME FOR CHANGE!

 

Let your new time and new opportunities lead you to Christ through the whole year!
